The Vividia U-101 USB Camera to iPhone & iPad U2i Adapteris a simple converter for most USB cameras. While many USB Cameras are not directly compatible with iPhone & iPad, the U-101 allows them to be. It is equipped with both USB-C & Lightning connectors for old and new generations of iOS devices. This adapter capitalizes on the popularity of Apple hardware, making it more accessible than ever to use a USB camera, borescope, or microscope with your current phone or tablet.
Note: Not all USB cameras are compatible with U-101 adpater. The main issue is the compatiblibility between a USB camea and the U2i adpater, not the iOS devices. For Ablescopes, such as VA-400 and VA-980, only the new versions since 2022 (the ones with a metal braided protective tube on the bending part) are compatible with the U2i adpater.

Troubleshooting for the U2i adapter connection:
Restart your iPhone or iPad will solve the "no image" issue most of time
If you have previoius verision of VA-400 v5, or VA-980 v5, update the firmware is required
This is a reliable alternative to the WiFi box I was previously using to connect to my iPad and iPhone. That box and related software was awful! Frequent crashes made the scope almost unusable for me. The U-101 has been solid and way more convenient to use and I am very pleased with it.
