Brazing honeycombs are metallic honeycomb structure bonded to a solid backing substrate. They are lightweight and high-strength components used for gas turbine engine seals, heat shields, and structural aircraft panels.

Digital microscopes and small diameter borescopes can used to visual inspection of the brazing honeycomb components.
